Henry Peter Matej, age 58, of Taylorsville Utah, died suddenly on September 4, 2011. He was born October 22, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois. He is the son of Peter Joseph Matej and Maria Elizabeth Szymsajnar both born in Poland ,who proceeded Henry in death. They raised their three children Edith, Henry and Christopher in Chicago. His sister is Edith Wendy Matej and her husband George Houston both currently living in Wisconsin. She is the mother of Lisa Maria and Michelle Marie, nieces of Henry. He also has a brother named Christopher Matej living with his family in Elk Grove llinois. Henry is a loving, kind, powerful, spiritual man and converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is a gift from Heavenly Father to our eternal family of Jesus Christ. He married Patti Lynn Keating and was later sealed to her and his family in the Salt Lake Temple. He became the father of Robbin Keating Martin who is the mother of his two eternal grandchildren, Renata and Rexton that reside in Connecticut. Henry is survived by his wife, one child, two grandchildren, one sister, one brother, two nieces as previously mentioned. Henry is also survived by the following mother, sisters and brothers-in-laws mentioned as follows: Pat Correa of Provo Utah, Brad and Penny Liebold of Illinois, Shawn and Barbara Keating of Dayton , Nevada, Scott Keating of Taylorsville, Utah, Pam Keating of Parish, Florida. Thomas Keating, Henry's father-in-law passed on July 16, 2011 in Palm Dale, California where he and his wife Shirley Keating resided. Thomas Keating Jr. Henry's brother-in-law died as an infant in Nottingham Park, Illinois. Henry is an uncle to the following: Michael and Mandy Romac of Evergreen Park, Illinois, Todd and Angelica Romac of Blue Island, Illinois, Matthew and Danika Williams of Reno, Nevada, Danara Keating Dayton, Nevada, Christopher and Derek Keating , Ashley Pape of Orland Park, Illinois, Jessica Keating of Illinois. Henry is also a great uncle to the following: David, Todd and Michael of Illinois. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 10, 2011, at 7:00pm in the Taylorsville 14th Ward, 1250 W 4375 S, Taylorsville Utah. A second Memorial Service and Interment will be held in the Chicago area and announced when plans are completed on this web site.
