Anthony Vere Ragozzine passed away peacefully on 10 February 2013 in Salt Lake City, UT. He was born in Derby, CT on 2 October 1941 to Anthony Ragozzine and Ruth Elvira Wilson and was the oldest of 3 children. He served an LDS mission in California, Nevada, and Utah. Anthony graduated from BYU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and later received a certification from the University of Utah in social work. He was active in the Young Republicans and campaigned for Michigan Governor George Romney. Anthony also enjoyed acting and appears as an extra in several movies. Among those who knew him, he was very generous and had a big heart.
Anthony was married to Karen Dawn Seely in the Salt Lake City temple. They were married from 1968-1985 and had four children together. He was entrepreneurial and creative in his business endeavors. He worked in the cable television industry in California, started a Kentucky Roast Beef franchise in California, owned and operated a toy distribution company in Salt Lake City, ran a video game arcade in Bountiful, UT, and dealt extensively in barter and wholesale distribution. He wanted to be affectionately remembered as the “King Shopper of the West.”
Anthony is survived by his siblings Sheila Woodard and Alan Ragozzine, by Karen and their four children: Carina (Brian Jensen), Ryan (Rebecca Fugal), Brett (Angela Stone), and Jared (Charis Hansen), and twelve grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday 15 February 2013 at the chapel located at 3175 South 3450 West in West Valley City, UT. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM, followed by the memorial service at noon. The interment is planned to take place the following day in Hurricane, UT.
