Chad Jacob Salcido passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013 in Ogden, Utah. He was born January 26, 1984 in Mesa, Arizona to David and Rhonda Lynn Johnson Salcido. In 1996, the family moved to Elk Ridge and has lived in Utah since that time, with the exception of 11 months in Gilbert, Arizona during 2001-2002. It didn’t matter where we lived, Chad found people to love. Chad loved the simple beauties that life offered; the outdoors, wildlife, tropical fish and rocks of all colors and types. His interests were so varied and he studied each subject with enthusiasm. He was quite the musician and during his lifetime, he played the piano, violin, drums, electric and acoustic guitars and had a beautiful voice. His sense of humor and infectious smile helped him to surround himself with many good friends. Chad will be missed by his parents, David and Rhonda Salcido, brothers, David, Benjamin and Jace Salcido and sisters Shayla (Scott) Robinson , Camilla (Cameron) Bendixsen , Amanda (Wadi) Jones , Hannah, Sierra, Olivia, Maci Salcido, Grandparents Delia and Al Barraza, Doris Johnson, sweet cousins, aunts and uncles, and friends. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at the Elk Ridge LDS Church, 259 E. Alpine Drive and the funeral will be the following morning at 10:00 a.m. with a viewing from 8:45-9:45.
