It is with a very sad heart that I am not able to be there today. I have the best memories with my Uncle George. When I was younger and I got to spend the night with my nana, he was living with her. I always had long nails and he would sit next to me and say "will you scratch my back"? When I would come to Utah to visit, he was always one of my visits (at the shop or Moore's). He would also asked about my girls and told me how proud he was of me and my girls. When I became a Grandma, he asked her name I told him "Marley" he said oh we have a Marlee too! I will miss his hugs and laughs! We are there in spirit uncle George for you and your family. We love you tons, your VA Bears (Carolyn, Shawna, Melissa, Aston & Marley). Now home in the arms of our loving God, and at peace!
George was a great man and I was lucky to have him on my team in our Ogden store. It is rare to have a man in that role that you can fully trust and know without any doubt you had his support. He taught me new things about our business right up until the day I retired last year. George was one of the most friendly and supportive employees I encountered in my career and I miss our regular conversations about business and just life in general. George, I thank you for all you have done for me and please know I will miss you.

So sorry for your loss. George was an amazing person who always said hi and remembered you no matter how much time had gone by.
Yours was always a face I looked for and gravitated to. What a special ball player and an even better person. I loved playing with and against George for what seems like forever. From one old third baseman to another. I will miss you.

I’m Rudy Dalla and I’ve known George for 70 years—from 1952 at Hopkins Elementary to now. He moved to Wilson Lane but we would see each rarely but it was usually when cruising Washington Blvd. Years went by but in 2008 George hired me as a delivery driver. In my mind it was supposed to be for only 9 months so I would qualify for 10 years of Social Security— but I stayed for about 10 years because I enjoyed working. George, Terry Cottle and I enjoyed going to classic car shows, AutoRamas and after show meals. But I also kept going to the Saturday morning breakfasts at Moore’s till his passing. I regret that I didn’t go see him at home but I can,t handle that situation. George in all those years and settings was always the same—kind, generous, easy and fun to be with. I already miss him. I will not forget him.
So sorry for your loss to all of you. Your Dad was really one of a kind.

In our younger days we used to go boating with George. We have some awesome memories of the fun times together!
