I only met Jackie and Martin for a short time, they both touched my heart. I could see the love in Martin's eyes when he spoke of her and the time they spent together. I loved hearing about how talented her girls were. My deepest sympathy to her family. You are in my heart.

I know of your family through Dan Pearce's internet blog. I am so very sorry for your loss. You lost your mother and wife at such a young age and you should have had many, many more years with her. I lost my mother the day after you lost Jackie but my mother had 87 glorious years of life. I know that you will treasure your memories of her as I do of my own mother. To her daughters, know that your mother lives on in you and in the person you have become. Stay close as a family. There is nothing more important than those you love and who love you. The world lost a beautiful soul and there is no words to make the pain lessen. Not only did her life effect all those who knew her or were her students but something so much bigger when your dog bit a crazy blogger that day. God would never cause her to suffer this terrible illness, Satan is behind cancer, but God knew the depth of her heart and caused a crazy blogger and his son to cross paths with your dog that day. What transpired after had to be God's hand making Dan notice little things and share your story with the world, and changed so many peoples outlook on life and humankind. And that gift will keep spreading effecting more and more people in ways we may never know but truly Jackie dick changed the world.

I read about Jackie on Dan's Blog, I am so sorry to hear about her passing. From the pictures and letters she seemed like a beautiful person both inside and out. I will pray for your family
I am sincerely sorry for your loss. Jackie was a friend of mine and a professional colleague. She made the world a better place and I will miss her! I have had her in my morning prayers regularly.

I feel so much sadness in my heart for the Dick family. I understand that your loss can never be forgotten, but pray that it might ease over time. I hope that the kindness of strangers who have never met Jackie face-to-face will help to remind you that there are people in the world who recognize what a GOOD and giving woman she was. Obviously, for many people, the world was much brighter for what she gave them.
