Mrs. Noorda,
I didn't know this until yesterday. I do remember before COVID when I was in 8th grade, I saw you and Jeff in the hallway. It was really nice to meet him. I hope you and your family will feel at peace.

Hello, I am a neighbor of Jeff, Sue, Jeffrey Scott, Missy and Kent [family at the time they moved]. Jeff was so fun to be around, he taught me how to work on cars and I fondly remember his brother Darryl coming by with his old Land Rover and Jeff would help him work on it, sparring jokes to each other and making me laugh. I also remember Jeff's MUD sign he was so proud of in his garage. I loved the quick story of where he had come across it.
I remember many, many times when Jeff (as our VV2 Scoutmaster) got all us 4 or 5 boys together on an early Saturday morning for some good old fashioned rabbit hunting with some hiking, dirt road adventures and mine hunting out in the West Desert. Great memories I will forever treasure. Who can forget Jeff [and "Jeff Jr.") playing the trumpet at the ward 4th of July breakfast?!? I also remember hearing Herb Alpert's albums blaring from the living room window at their house on 3300 S. Jeff is a great man, he will be missed by many, including myself. Thanks, Jeff, for all the teaching, love and example you were to me. 💜💜💜
When I was 11-12 years old, I’d tend for Darwin and Marilyn on Fridays as they had some time together. At that time, only Terry and Jeff were in the family so I thought it wouldn’t be hard to watch the two boys aged 2 and 4 years. Terry was no problem, but when Darwin and Marilyn left the house, Jeff was crying and going nuts! He wanted his parents. I’d stand by the door and hold it shut so Jeff wouldn’t escape. This went on for hours. Finally, Terry would go to bed, and I was alone with Jeff. I didn’t know what to do so I turned on “Nightmare Theater” that would show old horror flicks like Frankenstein, Wolfman, Dracula, the Cockroach That Ate Cincinnati, etc. I thought that it would give Jeff nightmares, but he laughed at all the people being chased by the monsters! He loved it! So, I now knew the secret to settle him down – turn on a monster show.
As a teenager in high school, Jeff had a group of friends which he called the “Bel Air 5”. (I think I remember the number.) Anyway, from time to time, Jeff’s group would pull harmless pranks. For example, the guys would put on trench coats, Halloween masks and go to a popular ice cream place in Sugarhouse called Snelgroves. They would peek in the windows and startle the people eating ice cream. They would then jump in the car (a Chevrolet Bel Air, of course) and drive away laughing. It was all in fun and no one got hurt.
We all loved Jeff and will greatly miss him. We all send our love to Sue and the kids and know Heavenly Father and Jesus will be by your sides during this hard times.

I enjoyed working with Jeff Noorda and he along with another individual were the inspiration to move overseas. He was a great mechanical engineer and had a great career with the Air Force. He was very capable and always tinkering on something in his free time. The Noordas are in our prayers.

Wonderful memories of our times together with the Noorda family in Okinawa. Jeff was one of a kind always willing to help at a moment notice and loved his smile. May the Savior wrap his arms around you today and always as you navigate through this difficult time. Many hugs. Melene Mierzejewski and family
Bro Noorda is someone I see as a Mentor. He and I golfed and Bro Noorda frequently gave me advice regarding family. We shared a birthday so it was always a pleasure to exchange Happy Birthday with one another. The World, The Church, The Air Force, and The Kadena Branch are better for Jeff Noorda having been a part.

I just received this sad news concerning Mr. Noorda. He was so young, and I remember him as a young man with red hair and a great smile! His kids seemed devoted to him. They would run up to him if he appeared somewhere where they were like the USO. And Sarah told me ( I was her librarian) I already know that book because my daddy read that book to me!....I know what an important guy he was to his family and to the community. All th Noorda children attended Stearley Heights Elementay! Sending condolences to his wife and sons and daughters! He was a fine man - a well loved and respected man and our world was better off with him in it! Family friend ...Carla D Shank of North Las Vegas
