Dallas Weldon Clark

At 6:30 a.m. on April 27, 2024, our father, Dallas Weldon Clark, left this world to be with his eternal companion, our mom, Audrey Lee Martin. Words truly cannot express what a great blessing he was to all of us. His strength, kindness and love touched the lives of so many. Our dad had many talents and skills, however, we can’t emphasize enough how very unassuming he was. He didn’t draw attention to himself, boast, or impose himself on anyone. He was calm and measured. He rarely lost his temper. He was a solid person, with a good sense of humor. He answered the call to serve his Country as a pilot in the United States Air Force. In civilian life, he served troubled youth as a Bexar County probation officer and then as a parole officer/manager for the Texas Youth Council. He also developed skills to overhaul automobile engines to provide extra income for his large family. Our dad graduated from the University of Utah and for an advanced degree, attended Sam Houston State in Texas. He held many positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was a devout and active member. Dallas Weldon Clark was born to Florence Geneve Rasmussen and Jonathan Shirley Clark on April 4, 1931, in Logan, Utah. He is survived by Terri Clark, daughter; Scott Clark, son (Nataliya); LaRae Clark, daughter; Pamela Clark Jones, daughter (Rick); Gary Clark, son; Chris Clark, son (Jennifer); Florence Clark Smith, sister; Justin Clark, brother (Barbara); Gary Clark, brother (Judy); and fifteen grandchildren: Snezhana Bowden, Dmytro Clark, Veronica Clark, Dallas Clark, Daniel Clark, Elizabeth Clark, Rachel Clark, Derek Clark, Dean Clark, Amanda Jones, Joshua Jones, Logan Clark, Mason Clark, Audrey Clark, Damon Clark. He was predeceased by his wife, Audrey Martin Clark; his parents, Florence Geneve Rasmussen, mother; and Jonathan Shirley Clark, father; Marjorie Ridgeway, sister; Marlene Eames, sister; Jean Lambson, sister; Bonnie Peck, sister; and Elna Ruthe Clark, sister; Maureen Eldredge, former sister-in-law; Hollis Smith, brother-in-law; Richard Stout, brother-in-law; and Gary Ridgeway, brother-in-law. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the LDS Chapel located at 5180 West 4700 South, West Valley City, Utah 84120 at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing beforehand at 9:30-10:45 a.m. A viewing will be held the night before at the above location from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2024.
