Sandra "Sandye" Daneen Hall Quintana

On January 19, 2025, Sandye, 52, of Ogden, Utah passed away unexpectedly from an unforeseen health complication. She was born to Rondia Christensen and Jim Hall on May 29, 1972, in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She grew up in Wyoming and Utah. She attended Washington High school where she later graduated. On August 19, 1995, she married David Quintana in Ogden, Utah. They spent 23 years together and raised two amazing children, TaraAnn and Jaden, then later divorced and remained good friends. She worked many years in the automotive industry as a Brake Warehouse Manager for Felts Automotive, and as an auto parts delivery driver for both Felts Automotive and Frank Edwards in Ogden, Utah. She also loved running the skid steer as an Equipment Operator at Geneva Rock in Shoshone, Idaho, but her favorite job of all was being a stay at home “Nana”. Sandye was a fun-loving, free-spirited person with innovation that presented and furnished many wild and creative ideas. She managed quite well with what she called "short people problems" such as standing on a stool to stir a pot of chili verde on the stove. But don't let that fool you, she was equipped with a big personality in a small package. She had an infectious laugh and always loved a good joke with her playful spirit to goof around anytime or anywhere. “You are my beautiful people, my most important people. My blanks in the days when we are apart, we hold the memories that shaped us, the times that made us”. - Sandye Her endless passion for animals was beautiful. As a child growing up on a farm with ducks, rabbits and horses. Sandye participated with her sister Shye in barrel racing their horse in Roy Junior Posse Rodeos. She also took great pleasure in long walks and hiking in the mountains with her Great Pyrenees "Ouija boy". Family traditions comprising of multi-day summer vacations at Seven Peaks Water Park, Christmas Eve chili, and many family get-togethers. She adored listening to her dad and Ernie play old country songs on their guitars. She was very fond of long one-on-one talks with Clint or anyone that would lend an ear about “nothing and everything”. Her love of nature encompassed family time with endless swimming days at the dam, camping, fishing, exploring new areas, four wheeling in Vernal, and trips to Lava Hot Springs and Lake Tahoe with David, Shye and Chad. An avid coffee lover who enjoyed poetry nights with her mom and kids at the local coffee shop. With the famous reference "It don't take a lot of water to make good coffee", defining strong coffee is always the best. In addition, you'd often hear her say "Ain't that Purdy?", “Shanks pal”, or asking “Got my Schnakies?”, and "Wanna sammich?". One of her greatest passions was time spent with her grandbabies, from having sleepovers, doing crafts together, scooter rides and most of all being called "Nana". Her passing leaves an unfillable void in the hearts of her loved ones and friends that she impacted during her life. “A mother is she who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take.” She is preceded in death by: Her grandparents, her dad Jim Hall, Best Friend and Sister Andrea "Shye" Titensor, and baby brother Stephen. Sandye is survived by her former spouse David Quintana and their children: TaraAnn & Shane Delrio, Jaden Quintana. Her mother Rondia Hall. Siblings: James "Ernie" Hall, Clint (Michelle) Thomas, and brother-in-law Chad Titensor. Grandchildren: Dallas, Deja, Nevaeh, and Noah. Godson: Carson Quintana, and many of her favorite nephews, nieces beloved friends, alongside the large extended family she took in, that she held very close to her heart. A memorial service will be held for family and friends to gather and share memories on February 8th, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Premier Mortuary at 5335 South 1950 West Roy, Utah. Following the service will be Celebration of Life luncheon in her honor at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1481, 907 West 12th Street Ogden, Utah. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations can be made to her children to aid with funeral expenses.
