Andrew Jared Begg
April 22, 1998 - August 29, 2020
In the late night/early morning hours of August 29, 2020, Andrew Jared Begg left this world behind after losing control of his vehicle on the Upper Setting Road in the Wasatch-Uinta-Cache National Forest. Whether you knew him as AJ, Jared, or the rare Andrew, the impression he left was resounding. He was a quick-witted smart ass with a knack for inciting laughter and sometimes (read: often) pushing buttons. His confidence was enviable–there was little he was afraid of and nothing he would not do for those he loved. He took naturally to just about everything at which he tried his hand, from athletic endeavors to mechanical skills. He was incredibly hard headed, fiercely loyal, and truly golden hearted. AJ's sudden, tragic departure has left his loved ones reeling, but we are clinging to our many happy memories of our son, brother, partner, and friend. He will be deeply, eternally missed. Out of respect for social distancing restrictions in the midst of the ongoing pandemic (and because it's not what he would have wanted) we have decided not to hold a formal funeral but will instead be celebrating his memory in an intimate setting with family and close friends. If you are so inclined, in lieu of flowers please consider donating to the family's fundraiser for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund in AJ's loving memory. https://gf.me/u/yvbjzh
