Anita Marie Jacobson
April 5, 1944 - November 17, 2017
Anita Marie Jacobson passed away quietly on November 17, 2017 after a long struggle with her health. She never lost her sweet positive attitude and kindness to all those around her. Anita was born April 5, 1944 to Rollin and Lila (Hill) Martin. She grew up on a ranch near Blackfoot, Idaho. She was a tomboy and loved horses, her pet lamb, helping her dad on the ranch and swimming in the Snake River. She loved her horse “Nugget” and rode in many rodeos as a barrel racer. Anita met her husband Phillip “Bob” Jacobson at a dance in Salt Lake and it was love at first sight. He called her his “Honey Bee”. They were happily married for 50 years. We are so glad that they are together again. They raised their family in the Murray, Utah area. Anita was a beautician and had a salon in her home. Her clients loved her and she loved them just as much. She also loved art and was an excellent painter. Anita was always happy and positive. She was a light in the lives of many people. Nothing made her happier than doing something to help another person. She had a great faith in God, and a great love for her family. Anita is survived by her children Michelle (Lance) Sawyer and Jonathan (BreAnn) Jacobson. Grandchildren Hannah, Sasha, Valerie, Elle, Lyla and Harry. And brothers Wayne (Sheree) and Darrell (LeeAnn). She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister Sharon Lee. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 27 at the LDS South Cottonwood Stake Center 1250 E 4800 S, Murray, UT. There will be a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 AM followed by the funeral service at 11 AM. Internment to follow at Elysian Burial Gardens 1075 E 4580 S.
