Brandon Eugene Copeland

September 20, 1978 - May 19, 2016

Brandon Eugene Copeland passed away in his sleep on May 19, 2016 after a long battle with addiction. Brandon was born on September 20, 1978 to the proud parents Cindy Tebbs Harris and Curtis Eugene Copeland in American Fork. He spent most of his years growing up in Orem and summers in Florida. As a young boy, Brandon enjoyed Taekwondo and played baseball. Brandon always welcomed everyone with a big hug, huge smile, and a BIG “What’s up Bro?” Anyone who knows him, knows his love for music, LOUD music…in his cars and his basement with his amazing surround sound. He would even blow your eardrums trying to watch a movie with him because the surround sound had to be overpowering. Brandon always had a passion for airplanes and could name every plane flying in the sky, from the time he was a little boy. With a dream of becoming a pilot. He loved sitting at the airport and watching the airplanes land and take off. He found so much pleasure in small, small things. As we all know Brandon was overly OCD. He knew everything always had its own place. He knew exactly the spot where each of his colognes, shirts, pants, socks, underwear, tools, car, and cleaning supplies went. Shanon talks about times when they were younger and spending time together about moving his cologne and shoes to different spots and coming back the next day to check and things would be back in their specific place. Brandon always knew how to dress nice. Always making sure he matched, no wrinkles, nice shoes, and always smelling good. He took pride in his looks. Brandon absolutely loved holidays. Halloween and Christmas were his favorite. He loved decorating, and he enjoyed the time he spent decorating the house for holidays. Halloween was a fun time because he thoroughly enjoyed trick or treating with the kids. Some of his favorite things were Spicy foods and Tabasco Sauce. He put Tabasco on anything and everything to the point where no one else could eat their own food. And he loved candy, any candy, but some of his favorites were Banana Laffy Taffy, Red Hots, Peach rings, sour gummies, mint chocolate chip ice cream, and a mango Mountain Dew. Brandon accomplished many things throughout his life. His High School Graduation, Achieving his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, and was also proud when he went through the temple and took out his endowments. His biggest accomplishment was his children and family. The love he has for his children is above the moon. He enjoyed being down on the floor with Kaison building buildings, car tracks, and throwing around a Frisbee or a football. He loved going on walks, and spending one on one time. He took the time to teach Elaini how to drive. He has always been a part of her life, and loved the time they spent together. He was a wonderful father, and truly loved being a dad. Brandon absolutely loved and adored Shanon. From being high school sweethearts to reuniting later in life and building a family together and having their little “Monkey.” He was a very caring and supportive husband. He loved his sisters. He always commented on having to grow up with a bunch of girls, and how it was such a learning experience. Brandon loved and adored his nieces and nephews, and was such a fun and loving uncle. He loved all his family, and enjoyed all the time he spent with them. He is survived by his wife Shanon. His children Elaini, Kaison, Kyiler, and Cambree. His parents Cindy and AJ Harris and Curtis Copeland. His Siblings Kristie (Adam), Tami (Brian), Katie (Tyler), Devan (Randy), Davies (April), Carrie Ann (Tiger), Jen (Rob), Jason, Tammie (Ramone), Gary (Robin), and Michelle. And His Grandma Sharon Tebbs. He was preceded in death by his Grandpa Clark Tebbs and Grandma Margie Copeland. We will miss his loving hugs, contagious smile, fun laugh, baby blue eyes, the way he smells and his “Stupid” E-Cig. We love you and we will miss you every second of everyday. We promise to keep your memory alive for your family!!! In Lieu of flowers please donate to www.gofundme.com/brandoncopeland. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the Orem 5th Ward building located at 50 South 800 East, Orem, UT.
