March 15, 1947 - September 10, 2021

Brent Montgomery 1947 - 2021 Brent Montgomery returned to the loving arms of his Eternal Heavenly Father. September 10, 2021, complications of Covid at Mc Kay Dee Hospital Ogden, Ut. Brent was born to Melvin & Margaret Montgomery, March 15, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Ut. He grew up in Holladay Ut. He graduated from Olympus High School. Joined the Navy, the Navy took him to many countries, he loved to serve his country. Brent met Lynette Donely, while working at Garrett Freight. They Married on February 25, 1978. He lost his love of his life to Cancer 2017. He will be so happy to be reunited with her. In the winter of 2017 he met Wynnell Poindexter they became good friends they were a comfort for each other. The relationship blossomed and they were married November 23, 2019 in Reno, Nv. Brent loved skiing, swimming, treasure hunting with his many good friends, he was very proud of his collection of treasures. He had a love for fast cars. His goal was to race at Bonneville Salt Flats. He accomplished that in 2019 & 2020. It was his dream to be a member of the 200 mile club, had planned to accomplish that this past summer. Due to covid he wasn’t able to make it, his car made it into the program he was so proud to see it in the program. Brent is survived by his wife Wynnell his dog children, Shep & Waldo. Sister Joan (Daryl) Duffin, their children Dori (Eric) Petersen; Julie (Andrew) Wright; Mitch (Taralee) Duffin. Lyn’s Family: Tova (Alan) Taylor, Rynda Monson, Karla Castillo, Lora (David) Richardson, many nieces & nephews. Step-daughters Trisha (Jeff) Yablon, Marcelle Blair, Step-son James Poindexter. Many Step-Brothers & Sisters. Brent was preceded in death by his parents Melvin & Margaret, Lyn, his dogs Zorro, Bear, Mia & Elvis. Brent and Lyn loved their dogs as if they were their children. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his name to your favorite Dog Rescue. Brent, Husband, Brother, Dog Dad, Uncle, Step-Dad, Step Grandpa, Brother-in–law. He held many titles. We are all going to miss him terribly. Brent was a very generous man. He gave donations to several Dog rescues; was always happy to help family in times of need or when family went on missions. God Be with You until We Meet Again. Memorial Services will be 4pm, Sunday September 19, 2021 at 4977 West 3000 South, Taylor, Ut 84401. Brent & Wynnell had severe cases of Covid. Masks are Mandatory at the services. Services are being held outdoors due to high risk
