Brian Kenyon
April 17, 1935 - January 21, 2013
Brian “Mad Dog” Kenyon, 77, passed away January 21, 2013 in Salt Lake City. He was born April 17, 1935 in Cottingley, England to Thomas and Alice Kenyon. Brian did his apprenticeship with Dean Smith & Grace in Yorkshire England, learning to be a machinist. He moved to the United States to join his family after finishing his tour in the British Army. When Brian arrived in Salt Lake City, he and several others founded the machine company United Precision. Brian always took pride in this endeavor. Soon after he arrived in Utah he met and married the love of his life, Sarah “Sadie” Brennan. They married on December 21, 1957. They have three daughters. He is preceded in death by his loving wife. He is survived by his children, Helen (Frank) Bares of Pleasant View, Sheila (John) Nightingale of Mission Viejo, and Colleen (Brandon) Bentley of Draper, six grandchildren, his brother Steve (Judy) Kenyon and sister Joyce (Cecil) Jacobsen. He will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed teasing those he loved. A remembrance service for the family will be held at a later time. Brian also loved his Gray Parrot Zorba, who will miss him immensely.
