Brigitte Maria Theresa Jockisch Wisely
March 11, 1951 - September 8, 2021
Can we all agree what an amazing woman Brigitte Maria Theresa Jockisch Wisely was? Yes we can! She came racing into the world a month early and never stopped. She was the most giving, kind, caring and loving person. To know her was to love her. Whether you knew her for one minute or your entire lifetime she was immediately your friend or surrogate parent. She had a big heart and often put others before herself. She is survived by her 3 children and their spouses: Stephanie (Lance), E. Stephen (Heather) and Nicole (Anthony), and her 9 grandchildren and their spouses: Haley (Taylor), Marc (Susan), Nicolaus, Kasaundra (Kelton), Emery, Tabitha, Mason, Phoenix, Teagan and 8 great grandchildren: Ocee, Elijah, Daxton, Calliope, Blakely, Zander, Harlow and Maverick. As well as her Mother Selma Jockisch and siblings and their spouses: Christa (Witcha), Margaret (Bill), George (Tammy) and Ingrid (Juan) and a multitude of nieces, nephews and bonus children who she loved more than anything. Preceded in death by her Father Heinz. She was born in Grosse Ilsede, Germany on March 11th,1951. Her family immigrated from Germany in 1952 settling in St. Louis. The family was active in the German Community including a German Dance Group. Her family moved to Tooele in 1970. She met and married Edward Wisely and had three children. She started her career as a dental hygienist and later worked for many years at United / Continental Airlines retiring from Neighborhood Acupuncture and Healing Arts. She touched many lives throughout her careers, having many as life long friends. She was an avid crafter and loved baking, trying new recipes, making candles, sewing costumes, making chocolates, decorating for weddings and more. She received Women of the Year that was awarded by The Council of Catholic Women. She could always be relied on to be your number one volunteer for CCD, soccer coach, cub scout leader, giving rides, everyone’s favorite cheerleader and much more. She and her children loved to travel any chance she got. They packed up the hatch back and explored much of the Western United States. Her love for travel was furthered by her career at the airlines. She was a world traveler with Germany and India holding a special place in her heart. Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 19th from 2:00 to 4:00.
