Carl Albert Taylor 1950 - 2017 Carl Albert Taylor, of South Jordan, Utah, left our presence to teach the gospel in the Spirit World on January 7, 2017. Carl was born in Casper, Wyoming on March 19, 1950 to Gene Bentley Taylor and Doris Crawford Taylor, who both preceded him in death. Carl was a number one BYU fan, an avid reader, and a fantastic artist. He was a volunteer fireman and EMT. He had a degree from BYU and taught Reading and Art in school for years. Carl loved the Lord, and was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He achieved his Eagle Scout and served a mission in California. He married his sweetheart, Mary Jolley, in the Manti Utah LDS Temple. They were later divorced. Carl loved his family, and was very proud of them and their accomplishments. He is survived by his daughters: Carissa (Don) Loftus, Marcie (Kevin) Stott, Courtney (Tony) Byrom, Mallori (Richard) Strong, and Chelsea (Gregg) Sloan. His 11 grandsons and 11 granddaughters. His siblings Rose (Norm) Bartell, Aletha (Gary) Paskett, and Juanita (Tom) Bird. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Hobble Creek 1st Ward, 555 South Averett Ave., Springville, UT with a viewing prior to services from 9:00 to 10:30 am. Interment at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
