Carol Ann Horne

Carol Ann Bishop (Horne) passed away peacefully January 20th, 2022 at the home of her daughter Tracey Scadden. Carol was born June 9th, 1939 in Beverly Massachusetts to Horace Bishop & Edna Matilla. She was 8 years old when her family moved to Richland, Washington. She graduated from Columbia High School, home of The Richland Bombers. Carol married her junior high sweetheart Gene Horne. Carol worked at JC Penney’s at Columbia Mall. Carol & Gene and 3 daughters went on an adventure of a lifetime to the city of Ketchikan, Alaska. Carol had 3 girls and adopted 2 Alaska native girls after moving to Alaska. Carol loved to shop. For many years there was not a shopping mall in Ketchikan. She made sure she spent many summers in Richland shopping to her hearts content. She lived for the Howard Ammon art show in Richland every summer. She was able to go one last time this summer. She worked at Carolyns a children’s clothing store in Ketchikan, Alaska. Over the years Carol & Gene lived in Oregon, Vegas and Arizona and ended up in Utah. Carol was proceeded in death by her Husband Gene Horne of 65 years. Her parents Horace & Edna. 2 sisters Susie & Sandy. Her daughter Tami & great grandson Brogan. She is survived by daughters, Tracey Scadden (Bob) of Roy, UT. Dana Godwin of Buffalo, New York. Jennifer Lewis (Riley) of Holladay, UT and Melanie Lindaas (Chris) of Pleasant View, UT. 19 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson & a great great grandson arriving in March.
