Chad Jeffrey Cook 02/08/1972 – 05/29/2020 Chad, 48, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020 at McKay-Dee Hospital after a valiant year-long battle with esophageal cancer. Chad was born on February 8th, 1972, at McKay-Dee Hospital, to Leonard D. and Connie M. Bowen Cook. He attended Weber High School, graduating in 1990. He married his high school sweetheart Jodi Smith soon after. They later divorced. In 2001, he met his match and soulmate, Alicia Punches. They married in 2004. He found his vocation, becoming a professional bus driver, first for Greyhound Bus Lines, and later for First Student in Ogden, Utah, where he was proud to transport the Ogden City School District children to and from school for the last five years. Besides northern Utah, Chad has lived in Colorado, California, Texas and Nevada. He returned to the beehive state in 2014 to be closer to family. His passions included photography, trains, bicycling, action movies, the New England Patriots, the Atlanta Braves and MMORPG video games. He also liked to volunteer his time for schools and sports teams that his children were a part of during their formative years. He is survived by his parents, Leonard D. Cook of Ogden, UT and Connie Emerson of Farr West, UT; wife, Alicia Cook of Harrisville, UT; children, Connor Tyrrell of Las Vegas, NV, Rhiannon Tyrrell of Rock Springs, WY and Sidney Blackmere of Las Vegas, NV; brothers Michael (Liz) Cook of Harrisville, UT, and Tyrus (Kate) Emerson of Eugene, OR; sisters Alana (Ben) Knowlton of South Jordan, UT and Jessica (Greg) Bingham of North Salt Lake, UT; grandmother Mildred Bowen of North Ogden, UT; along with nieces and nephews and a large extended family of uncles, aunts, cousins, in-laws and friends he held dear. He was preceded in death by his brother, Sean Cook; step-father Richard Emerson, and sister-in-law Heather Waugh. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, June 3rd, 5 – 7 p.m. at Premier Funeral Services, 5335 So. 1950 W. Roy.
