Chistine Dickinson

January 15, 1967 - September 2, 2020

Christine our amazing sister, born January 15, 1967, (or Sister Dickinson to the WJ 28th Ward, who adored her) passed away on September 2nd, 2020. Her frail body, no longer able to hold her beautiful life force energy. Can just see her now, riding on a purple and pink unicorn traversing the universe with a boom box strapped to the back blaring Melanie's ... "Well, I got a brand new pair of roller skates, you got a brand new key.” She was wiser and braver than most, despite having what some might think of as limitations. She spoke honestly, from the heart, laughed (especially and hysterically at sneezes), loved unconditionally, and played like a kid (every game she could get her hands on). She also gave great dating advice (to her friend and Support Coordinator, Kim) in preparation for a date…“wear pink and make the boys wink.” Her official earthly name was Donna Christine Dickinson – she was so stealthy, hardly anyone knew she was holding space for our beloved mom Donna's namesake in her pocket and heart as well. Christine was the kind of gal that found not just one mom during her lifetime, but three, to help care for her sweet soul – Donna Dickinson (her biological mother); Susan Bodero (her fabulous, out-of-the-blue, adoptive mom); and Jean Dickinson (her step-mom). Survived by: Father Merlin Ross Dickinson and his wife Jean Dickinson; Siblings (in no specific order); Rodger Dickinson, Jeff Denison, Shellee Dickinson-Gamble, David Dickinson, Cindy Dickinson-Barnes, Gary Dickinson, and Susan Dickinson-Carver. She'll be greeted with love by those who have passed before her - mother Donna Mozelle Dickinson and older siblings Rebecca Denison and Alan Denison. The family would also like to send a very special thank you out to the amazing support ladies in Christine’s life – Samantha Fenstermaker (support specialist at South Valley Training), Mikki Naillon (facilitator at Frontline Services), and Kim Knuteson (Support Coordinator). Christine thoroughly enjoyed spending her days working and socializing at South Valley Training since August 1989. Her favorite type of work to do was labeling and packaging pen sets. She loved to color pictures of encouragement for friends she worked when they were out sick or upset to help them feel better. To all those whose lives she's touched may you be reminded of her sweetness on the rainy days. In light of COVID, the family would like to invite anyone who knew and loved Christine to attend a Zoom memorial on Thursday September 17th at 6:30 p.m. to honor and share any fond memories of her – Time: Sep 17, 2020 06:30 PM Mountain Time (US and Canada) Join Zoom Meeting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85680508122?pwd=V3RiS2RBQnZqRkZ0WXBtNGJUYlZxUT09 Meeting ID: 856 8050 8122 Passcode: 666048 One tap mobile +12532158782,,85680508122#,,,,,,0#,,666048# US (Tacoma) +13462487799,,85680508122#,,,,,,0#,,666048# US (Houston) Dial by your location +1 253 215 8782 US (Tacoma) +1 346 248 7799 US (Houston) +1 669 900 6833 US (San Jose) +1 301 715 8592 US (Germantown) +1 312 626 6799 US (Chicago) +1 929 205 6099 US (New York) Meeting ID: 856 8050 8122 Passcode: 666048 Find your local number: https://us02web.zoom.us/u/ko9lL6IhU
