Christie Kay Shaw Jensen

April 15, 1952 - June 26, 2021

Christie Kay Shaw Jensen 4/15/1952 – 6/26/2021 Our dear Christie Kay Shaw Jensen returned home to her Father in Heaven on Saturday, June 26, 2021 after a valiant and courageous battle with various health issues. She was born in Salt Lake City to LaMar and Luella Davis Shaw and was the second of four children. She married her sweetheart and eternal companion, Scott, on August 9, 1974 in the Salt Lake City Utah Temple. Christie was the mother of one adoring son, David Scott and grandmother to equally amazing granddaughters, Mahaila Owen and Ashleigh Eileen Jensen. Christie grew up in Magna, Utah and graduated from Cyprus High School in 1970. She attended L.D.S. Business College and used her acquired skills in her employment. She had an ability to successfully interact with people and was sought out to solve many customer service problems. She retired from R.C. Willey and continued to use her talents in her home life and her church callings. Christie loved crafting, gardening, holidays and family gatherings. Christie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many organizational callings. Her favorite calling was serving the Young Women of her ward. She was an avid supporter of her son’s football activities and loved the time they spent playing board games as a family; but her primary delight was in her grandchildren. Christie’s talents were numerous, but her greatest attribute was her Christ-like love for members of her family and her friends. She willingly served without question or reward. She was a valiant daughter of a Heavenly Father, whom she loved and who loved her. Christie not only had a strong testimony of Christ, but she lived her testimony in her actions and activities. Christie will be sorely missed but will be ever present through the lives of her husband, her son, and her granddaughters. Christie was preceded in death by her parents, LaMar and Luella Davis Shaw. She is survived by her husband, Scott, her son, David, her granddaughters, Mahaila and Ashleigh and her faithful, furry companion, Penny. She is also survived by her brother, Randy (Lisa) Shaw and her sisters, Marsha (Lanny) Herron and Janelle (Kevin) Day. Funeral services and viewing will be held at the Spencer 3rd Ward, located at 8181 West Breeze Drive, Magna, Utah. Viewing will be held Thursday evening, July 1st from 6 to 8pm and then again on Friday, July 2nd at 10am. The funeral will follow at 11am. Her obituary and condolences can be viewed by visiting www.premierfuneral.com. We express our heartfelt gratitude to our family and wonderful neighbors and friends of the Spencer 3rd Ward.
