March 23, 1949 - April 19, 2022
Clinton Feragen (age 73) passed away at his home on 4/19/22. He died in the presence of his family, following a short battle with Mesothelioma. He was a dearly loved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Clint was born March 23, 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the eighth child born to Leif and Lilly Feragen. He is survived by his brother Leonard (Velma) Feragen and sister Carol Stephens. In 1969, Clint married Sharon Williams. They were happily married until Sharon’s death in 1989. Clint married Trilby Devine in 2011 and enjoyed ten wonderful years of marriage. Clint graduated from Granite High School “Class of 67”. At age 18, he was drafted and served (stateside) in the Army during the Vietnam war. He had many adventures while stationed in the Chicagoland area. Clint was a gifted upholsterer and served his clients for more than 50 years, working for Mastercraft Upholstery, then opening his own business, Clint’s Custom Upholstery. He loved working with decorators and also enjoyed a specialty, restoring antique furniture. In his free time Clint loved to play fast-pitch softball in many local leagues. He had cherished memories of playing ball for many years until his shoulder forced him to quit pitching at age 60. Extremely gifted in athletics, Clint also loved to golf with his friends at the Murray Parkway Golf Course, Men’s League. He was a devoted tinkerer and he enjoyed making model cars as much as working on his own repairs and auto maintenance. Clint was a “noticer” of dogs and children. He was frequently observed “making eyes” at young children in restaurants (as they peered at him over the booth). He is survived by his wife, Trilby Devine, his daughters and son-in-law, Joni Feragen, Jennifer Feragen and Ryan Moeller, stepsons Shane Devine-Snow (Samantha Devine-Snow) and Troy Hoover, his four grandchildren- Beau Feragen (Courtnee Feragen), Chris Walgren, Kasey Yengich, Taylor Garrett along with five great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Clarke Low and Dr. Jamie Brant (IHC) for their attentive care during Clint’s illness. Also the incredible team from Inspiration Hospice for the excellent care and support given to all of us as we said goodbye. Please join us for a celebration of his life: Saturday, June 4th at 11:00 at New Creation Church, Sandy.
