Dale Glen Steckelberg

October 29, 1942 - February 27, 2022

Dale Glen Steckelberg, 79, born in Dennison, Iowa on October 29th, 1942, returned to heaven to be with his loving wife, Beverly Jo (Hunt), of 61 years, on February 27th, 2022, while surrounded by his loving family. Dad was retired USAF, a Vietnam Vet, retired Civil Service, and worked at HAFB UT until his retirement. Dale and family lived the last 20+ years in east Layton, UT but also spent many years living in Syracuse, UT. Dad was active in so many things. He loved to hunt, fish, and camp with his family, enjoyed supporting his kids in all the many sports and activities they were involved in, was a master mechanic, aircraft maintenance technician and later a manger on base in the aircraft maintenance hangar. Dad worked on F4’s when we moved to Utah and was the Tactical Liaison before he retired. Our Dad was extremely active you never saw him sitting idle. He was a great husband and Father and dedicated most of his free time to his family. Dad was loved and adored by all those who knew him. He was wicked smart, funny, competitive, and good at everything he did. We will miss his voice, laughter, wit, and his many funny one-liners. Most of all, we will miss our Dad, the man, the presence and life force, that meant so much to all of us. Dale is survived by his children, Lori Steckelberg (Keith) Wilson, Ken (Angela) Steckelberg, David (Carrie) Steckelberg; Sister, Cleta (Tom) Gibbons; Grandchildren, Erica and Kylah Steckelberg, Alyssa (Camden) McArthur, Maranda (Zac) Ewing, Kelsey Millwood Porter, Michael Millwood, Braylin and Rylen Stekelberg; and great grandchildren, Kadence Porter, Emma and Jax McArthur, Aiden, Mila and Rylee Ewing, and Kohen Wolsey. Dad was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Jo, his parents Leta Evans (Pash) and Glen Steckelberg, Mother and Father-in-law Ken and Romain Hunt; and his Granddaughter Macey Steckelberg. A special thank you to the amazing staff, doctors, and nurses at Ogden Regional for the exceptional care and comfort you provided our Father in his last days of life. A very sincere thank you. A celebration of life will be held for Dale where friends and family can pay respects. Located at Premier Funeral Services in Roy, UT, 5335 S. 1950 W. Service will be held from 5 – 6 p on Wednesday March 2nd, 2022.
