Dennis John Heggem Jr 1951 – 2019 Dennis John Heggem Jr., beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully from a glioblastoma tumor on May 10, 2019 at the age of 67. Dennis was born July 24, 1951 in Seattle, Washington to Dennis John Heggem Sr. and Elizabeth Anne Heggem. After serving a mission in England for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dennis attended Brigham Young University where he met his wife Connie at a dance where he asked her out. Connie received her mission call the next day and she shared her destination with him at the picnic. Dennis proposed three times before letting Connie go two months later. He was waiting when she arrived home from her mission. They were married three months later and have been married 42 years with five children. Life was fun and full. Dennis loved his children very much. Dennis worked for BYU for 27 years. He loved the atmosphere, the people and the challenge his work presented. He was a friend to all. He helped many who were in need with car repairs, giving funds to the needy and help to the aged. He loved to talk and share his testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ who was his anchor. He was a seeker of knowledge and truth. We will miss him greatly. He is survived by his mother Elizabeth Anne Heggem, four siblings Richard Heggem, David Heggem, Barbara Bertleson and Ronald Heggem. Wife Connie Heggem, five children Stephannie (Don) Beman, Jennifer (Kevin) Weber, Kimberly Heggem, Nathanael Heggem and Dennis John Heggem III. Two grandchildren Trinity Beman and Kiara Beman. Preceded in death by his father Dennis John Heggem Sr. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Hobble Creek 5th Ward, 1460 East 900 South, Springville, Utah with a visitation prior to services at 9:30 am.
