Diane Marie Sheffer Richey, aged 73, passed away surrounded by her family on October 6, 2018 in Ogden, Utah. Born August 16, 1945 in Sparta, Wisconsin, she grew up on a dairy farm as the seventh of eleven children. Diane was fond of telling stories to her grandchildren of milking cows as a young girl. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with her family at the age of 16, and found great joy in the gospel. Ray joined the army, and they raised their four children in Texas, New Jersey, Germany, Alaska, and Georgia, among other places. They settled in Virginia in 1985, where they remained for many years. In 1992, Diane got her driver’s license. She loved driving, and she used her license to serve others. This new skill brought her much joy.
