Edwin Allen Crow

My beloved husband, Edwin Allen Crow, 83, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2012 at his home of causes incident to age. He was born on April 8, 1928 to Allen S. and Alpha Coolbear Crow in Salt Lake City where he has lived his whole life. He served an LDS mission in Texas-Louisiana from 1948 to 1950. He served in the Army in Germany during the Korean War. Edwin worked for U.S. Postal Service for 33 years. Most of those years were in downtown Salt Lake City doing parcel post. He rarely ever took a sick day-off. He served diligently in various callings in the LDS Church. He was an avid genealogist and researcher. In addition to his full time mission, he served 2 Stake Missions and served 21 years as a Service Missionary in the Church Historical Archives in the Church Office Building. He married Norma Anderson which he later divorced. Then he married Loraine Durfee McConkie in 1987. We have traveled to many exciting place in the world: Hawaii, Mexico, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Switzerland, China, England, Scotland, Wales, and Peru. We have seen many places in the U.S. with our Ute Salt Shakers camping club as well as made many new friends. Survived by wife, Loraine. Children Jeff Crow, Cheryl Stevenson. Stepchildren: Rod (Wendy), Darrel (Erin), & Paul McConkie, Lisa (Ken) Larson, Shauna (Mike) Hatfield. Sisters: Lois Goodmansen, Ilana Thompson. Brother: Claron Crow. 10 Grandchildren. Viewings: Tue. March 27th 6-8 pm. & Wed. 28th, 9:30-10:30 am. Funeral at 11 am. All services at Granger Stake Center: 2850 West 3835 South, West Valley, UT. Burial at Valley View Memorial Park.
