Frances Corinne Groneman April 14, 1937 – January 4, 2022 Frances Corinne Groneman passed away on January 4, 2022 due to complications related to Covid. Born April 14, 1937 in Provo, Utah to Lynn LeRoy Groneman and Thelma Woffinden Groneman, Frances was the third of four children. Frances attended Central Elementary School, Franklin Elementary School, Dixon Junior High School and graduated from Provo High School in 1956. She attended Los Angeles City College in California and then Brigham Young University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education followed by a Master’s degree in Library Science. Frances married Charles Walling in 1963 and together they had one child, Lynne-Alison Walling in 1964. They were later divorced. Frances taught elementary school for many years in Magna, Utah. She was a loving and devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, nana, teacher and friend. She had a kind heart and a special love for children and animals, especially cats. Frances was a member of the First Baptist Church in Provo, Utah and greatly appreciated the love and support she received from the Baptist community. Frances leaves behind her brother, Dale Groneman; daughter, Alison Anderson (David); “adopted” daughter, Rachel Whoolery (Matthew); and eight granddaughters, Josie, Livie and Leonie Anderson; Josiane Moody (Justin); Asia, Eden, India, and Samara Whoolery. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Diane Merrill; and brother, Lynn LeRoy “Mickey” Groneman, Junior. A celebration to honor the life of Frances will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11:30 am at the First Baptist Church, 1144 Columbia Lane, Provo, Utah.
