Harold Ray Halladay Born August 26 1948 - May 10 2022 Harrold Ray Halladay was born on August 26, 1948, in Monterey Park, California to Elmer Halladay and Marguerite Jensen. He passed away peacefully on May 10 2022 in Ogden Utah surrounded by family. Ray had Six brothers and one favorite sister. Jimmy ,deceased, Donald, deceased, Ronald & Debbie Halladay (St. George, UT), Kent & Elizabeth Halladay (St George, UT), Dan Halladay (Elko, NV), Rhoana & Shane Wood (Malad City, ID, Roger & Gina Tims (Mt. View, WY). Ray held a special place in the hearts of his siblings as they were all present on the day of his passing. Ray had 4 children, Eric Halladay (Huntsville, UT), Shanna Erdmann (deceased), Robyn & Mike Albee (Ogden UT), Toby (Brad) Halladay (Boise, ID) and had two grandchildren, Bailey & Ridge Woodland (Ogden, UT) and Coleman Knight (Ogden, UT). Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Halladay and Marguerite Jensen and his daughter Shanna Renée Halladay. Ray found comfort in the LDS gospel and looked forward to seeing his mother again as he knew she would be there to greet him and guide him on his journey. In 1967 he and “Sherry” Sharron Nagel eloped in Las Vegas NV. They had their first son Eric in June 1970 in Arcadia CA. Six months later they moved to Malad City ID and had their first daughter Shanna in 1972. Ray became a very accomplished welder specializing as a pipe fitter. This trade took the young family to Cooley Washington in 1975 were he helped the Grand Coulee Dam and their 3rd Child Robyn was born. The family followed work to Wheatland WY were his youngest child Toby was born in 1978. Ray eventually moved to Ogden where he lived the rest of his days. He enjoyed riding his bike and visiting with family. He was adventurous and even took a tube ride behind the boat at 71 years old. He enjoyed camping, fishing, motorcycles, model airplanes, bicycling and boating. His memorial service will be held Sunday, June 12th, 4:30 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Huntsville 277 S 7400 E. Huntsville UT 84317.
