I was saddened to hear of Jean’s passing. We were so blessed to have two of our kids in her preschool. My girls absolutely adored her, as did we. We are all better for having known her. She was an angel to me when I needed one. She had no idea, but having my daughter in her class brought me comfort and peace during that hard time.

Her smile would light up a room and my kids would light up around her. They were singing her preschool songs in the car just the other day and smiling and giggling.

I think about her often - her genuine love for whomever she met, her cheerful disposition and her fun personality. I hope to encompass just a small portion of her Christlike love.

My thoughts and prayers have been going out on behalf her husband, children and grandchildren during this tender time.

Until we meet again, Jean. It was such a blessing to know you.

Jean was such a light wherever she went! I don’t ever recall a time when she didn’t smile. She was a great mom in raising her kids along with so many preschoolers. She will be missed but Heaven just got brighter. Love you Jean

I will eternally love Jean even though I’ve never met her in person. She followed a strong spiritual impression that resulted in the adoption of my first grandchild. I was honored to have her as “Grandma Jean” to my grandchildren. Her beautiful smile warms the heart of everyone she met … and didn’t physically meet. I LOVE this genuine sister for the eternities and will love hugging her when it’s my time to arrive home!

My heart struggled when it was my fourth and last child’s day at preschool with ms jean. When I walked in that last day and saw her chalk board message “good bye my friends.” Tears came at the thought of our paths not crossing as much with the wonderful stage of preschool being behind me. She loved all 4 of my children with all her beautiful heart. In the journey we became dear friends as we shared love of Childrens literature, love and logic, clean windows, dogs, running, books of all shapes and sizes, the gospel, and missions. If there ever was an angel that walked the earth it was Ms. Jean! No wonder those angels called her home so soon. Heaven can no longer be with out her. Jean, Now all these years latter your chalkboard message “good bye my friends” pulls at my heart and brings tears as our paths will not cross again for a time. My thoughts and prayers are with you Danny, jeans children, and her lucky grand children who had the best grandma anyone could hope for. She will continue to watch over you. I was Jane's neighbor when she lived in Taylorsville and she's always been the sweetest person I've ever met. She was always kind to everyone she met. She was the light of this world.
She also made the best cookies she was known for her homemade cookies, yet she never gained a pound. We are truly going to miss her, heaven has gained another angel. 😇🥰

in honor of Jean.

Jean was something special! She carried a spirit about her that was so contagious. My wife & I told our adult children about her having cancer months ago & they were heartbroken. Kim & I had the privilege of visiting Dan & Jean @ their home in Providence a few month ago to deliver (The Big Hug) blanket that ward members contributed to in order for her to have it as a comforter while going through Chemo treatments & any other time she needed a remembrance of her old ward, friends, etc. Dan & her invited us in & we were able to spend about an hour with them, talking about what they were going through, old memories, family & some of our 1st encounters with these amazing people & how they both carried themselves as Disciples of Christ. They would come & visit us frequently while we were remodeling our home & wanted to see the progress we were making. They truly cared about us & the things that were going on in our lives. Jean, you will be greatly missed, I don’t know what kind of impact you had on me or my family, but I will tell you it was HUGE! We love you & will miss you more than you will ever know. Until we see you again, know that you are loved by multitudes!!!

Jean would often come and visit Dan at his last place of employment. If you did not know better, you would have thought you were watching two individuals courting each other or newlyweds. Their love for each other permeated the very air around them and when they were together, all was right.

Two of my four kids were the luckiest because Jean was their teacher. I am thankful every day for her goodness and love. Heaven gained the best! Thank you to her family for sharing her over the years.

I will join probably hundreds in saying Mrs. Jean was the best preschool teacher ever. She loved my kids and they knew it. She kept it simple and had her priorities in order. I will never forget both her birthday song(I’m 5) and the donut song. May all of her family be comforted at this time, as they have lost a very special wife, mom, and grandma. Heaven certainly gained an angel, love you Mrs. Jean!
