Jillynn "Jill" Heap Stapley

July 3, 1962 - November 7, 2017

Jillynn (Jill) Heap Stapley was born July 3, 1962 to Donald Alden and Maradene Besendorfer Heap in Bountiful, Utah. She passed unexpectedly in her sleep on November 7, 2017. She grew up in Bountiful alongside siblings D. Cary Heap and Jan Cobbley, graduating from Viewmont High School and Seminary. She met her soulmate Ernest Russell Stapley and they were married September 28, 1984 in Bountiful, Utah. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in October, 1985. They lived in Pocatello, Idaho, and North Salt Lake, Utah, before settling in Sandy, Utah. Jill and Ernie were blessed with five boys: Wesley (Kristal), Shane (Channing), Carson (Danielle), Bennett and Parker. She had a close relationship with nephew Jacob Cobbley, who spent a great deal of time in the Stapley home growing up. Jill was a wonderful wife and mother, who not only supported her family, but showed love and compassion to each member. She enjoyed her three daughters-in-law and was happy to welcome them as her own. She has been a very special "MeeMaw" to her five little grandsons, Rykin, Malcolm, Hunter, Simon and Rowan. She showered love and affection on them, and they never parted without her saying that she loved them "No number that high!" Jill had a great work ethic and most recently worked for over a decade in a position with the Bank of American Fork in Sandy. She loved her job and established a close friendship with her fellow employees. She welcomed all with a sunny smile and she showed unconditional acceptance of everyone. She was truly a "People Person". Jill was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in several positions of responsibility. She had a special love for the young women in her Ward and Stake and imparted a feeling of loving acceptance for all of them. She had a special energy and enthusiasm that was contagious. She leaves behind family, including many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and their families, along with many friends who share in her passing. She will be missed. We love you NO NUMBER THAT HIGH!!! A viewing will be held at the LDS Chapel at 949 E 10600 S. Sandy, UT 84094 on Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be also be held at the LDS Chapel at 949 E 10600 S. Sandy, UT 84094 on Monday, November 13, at 11:00 AM (viewing from 9:30-10:30).
