Joann Delcene Masock Corona

March 23, 1933 - May 15, 2018

Joann Delcene Corona March 23, 1933 – May 15, 2018 Our most beloved, kind, sweet, classy, witty, giving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, & dear friend to all who knew her, Joann Delcene Masock Corona passed away peacefully on May 15, 2018. Joann was born to Alex Marian & Theresa Bruno Masock, the fourth of eight children in Salt Lake City, Utah, on March 23, 1933. On May 15, 2018, she lost her battle with dementia. Joann shared her birthday with two of her sister’s (Francis & Charlotte) but they weren’t triplets. They were born on different years. For that honor the three were featured in an article in the Salt Lake Tribune. This was truly a rare event & worthy of recognition. Joann worked for The PAX company as the office manager for most of her career. She did pretty much everything from answering the phones, accounting, payroll, procurement & before computers, key punch, data entry. She was the Office Manager extraordinaire! Joann met & married Rogelio (Halo) Corona, on October 31, 1952. They were married for 55 years until Halo passed away in 2007. Joann lived for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her daughters, grandchildren & great grandchildren. She also had great times & fond memories with her siblings, extended family & friends. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Dianna Corona Naccarato (Steve) & Gina Corona Cecala. Her grandchildren, great grandchildren & step grandchildren. Sisters Francis, Charlotte, Jimaleen & brothers Paul & John. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rogelio (Halo) Corona, parents, grandparents, brothers Felix & Alex & brothers-in-law. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 29, from 6 to 7PM with a Vigil beginning 7PM at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Parish Church, 1375 East Spring Lane, Salt Lake City. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 30, at 10:30AM at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Parish Church. The family wishes to thank the Staff of Canyon Creek Senior Living & Millcreek Hospice Home Health for their kindness & support during this difficult time. The staff loved JoJo & always commented on her beautiful blue eyes. Everyone who knew her loved JoJo. Give her eternal rest, O Lord, & may your light shine on her forever. Amen
