John Albert Hill

May 8, 1943 - March 28, 2022

John Albert Hill 1943 - 2022 John Albert Hill was reunited with his wife Sharon on March 28, 2022 after his battle with cancer. John was born on May 8, 1943 to John Richard Hill and Mary Wiseman Hill. He grew up in a family of all boys and raised a family of all boys and had the classic stories to accompany those experiences. His sons John, Curtis, Dale and Craig are avid story tellers just like their dad. John graduated from Ogden High School and continued his education taking courses to complete studies in electronics and receive his certifications. He acquired a lifetime of knowledge working for Union Pacific Railroad for 30 years before moving into consulting in the same field. He was instrumental in the signal design for the FrontRunner transit system. He also worked to modernize the rail system at Disney World. However, John’s favorite job, which his family will remember him for most, was that of preeminent supervisor. John constantly had a new project in mind. He loved to modify and improve anything with various results of success. He enjoyed explaining how things worked and telling people how things should be done while watching them over the top of his glasses. John planned to marry Sharon Yvonne Ingles on Dec 6, 1963, but they eloped on Dec 3rd and were married by Judge Mudd. In her words when they met they shared a cup of coffee after a ride around the dam on July 3rd and they dated every night after that. They spent the rest of their lives together. John and Sharon enjoyed traveling and visited many National Parks and places in the United States. They enjoyed being tour guides when their children visited them at the various places they called home over the years. Their family frequently vacationed at Lake Powell with friends and family and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping trips. John looked forward to these trips and this time he spent with his family John was preceded in death by one brother Richard Charles. He will be missed by his surviving family including sons: Pinky -John Hill (and Terri), Curt L. (and Verlyn) Hill, Dale R. (and Sonya) Hill and Gus- Craig T Hill; and brothers Ernest Hill, Ronald (and Olivia) Hill, Donald (Cathy) Hill, Lamar Hill, and Michael (Liz) Hill; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank his sister-in-law Eva Andrews for selflessly caring for John during his illness and for the kindness she gives to the entire family. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation; www.cncfhope.org There will be a visitation for John on Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Premier Funeral Services, 5335 South 1950 West, Roy, Utah.
