JoMarie Fuller Lamoreaux

January 4, 1944 - September 27, 2018

JoMarie Fuller Lamoreaux - January 4, 1944 – September 27, 2018 of Farmington, UT passed away as a result of complications from Alzheimer’s. JoMarie led a very active life of service to God, her family and community. A devoted wife and mother, she raised six children and several other children at various times. JoMarie was a very strong and consistent woman of faith and believed in the benefits of education, self-reliance, hard work and perseverance. She often recited the following: “Things that we persist in doing become easier, not that the nature of the task has changed, but our ability to do has increased.” JoMarie was a frugal, active doer who loved others, exemplifying the motto of “being frugal with yourself and generous with others.” In addition to helping her children through their primary education, her children and their spouses have all completed undergraduate degrees and several have completed post-graduate studies. JoMarie in her younger years cut her college education short to care for her family. She returned to school after several of her children had left the house and continued her studies towards a degree in Elementary Education. JoMarie was an educator, teaching correct principles wherever she went. She enjoyed teaching children critical basic learning and life skills. Over the years, she served as a reading tutor in several school districts within multiple states and taught English to children and adults in both Brazil and Argentina. JoMarie served in multiple leadership roles within the wards and stakes of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including: Relief Society President, Young Women’s President, Primary President and early-morning seminary instructor. JoMarie with her husband Jay served a proselyting mission in the Texas, San Antonio Mission. JoMarie is survived by her Husband of nearly 54 years Jay Max Lamoreaux, their six children and spouses, 27 grandchildren, two sisters and one brother. JoMarie will be dearly missed by all who know her. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the LDS humanitarian aid fund. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 5th – visitation at 1:00 p.m. and funeral at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel located at 347 South, 200 West, Farmington, UT 84025.
