Josie R. Ruiz

February 18, 1941 - November 10, 2021

Our Mother and Grandma passed away on November 10, 2021 from natural causes. She was a sweet, lovable and caring person who loved her family. She was born in Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico to Anita and Max Rodela. She looked forward to birthday parties and BBQ’s. She loved to be around people and go to Wendover with her sister in law, Mita and whoever else wanted to go. She was a wonderful teacher where she taught for many years at M. Lynn Bennion Elementary. After she retired from teaching, she went to work at O.C. Tanner, retired and where she had many friends. She is survived by her brother – Max (Gale) Rodela. Children - Nicky (Diana) Lopez, Terry (Mark) Robinson and Geno Max Lopez. Grand children - Nick James (Amanda), Steven Ray (Ariel) Kassie (Peta), Eric, Melissa (Mike), Zachary, Patrick (Amy), April (Andy), Travis (Andrea), Jason (Camille), Lisa Valentine, Dede Kesler, Stacy Medel, Eric Brunyer, Brandy Brunyer. Jami Lazerus (niece) and Jeff (nephew). Many great grandchildren and cousins. She is preceded in death by her hubby – Ralph, parents - Anita and Max Rodela, greatgrandchild - Adonias Lopez, Junior – Stepson, Judy – Stepdaughter, Chad – grandson, and Bonnie – sister-in-law. Viewing – Premier Funeral Services 67 East 8000 South, Midvale, Utah 84047, November 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Burial will be November 19 at 1:00 pm at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan. Honorary Pallbearers: Nicky, Geno, Mark, Nick James, Steve Ray, Eric, Zachary, Peta, Xandier, Jason Ruiz and Travis Ruiz. Our mom and grandma liked to wear all colors and we ask if could wear something bright if you can attend. She would love that. Thanks for your prayers. We want to thank Hospice – Amber CNA and Kate, RN with helping and showing Kassie how to care for our mom and grandma. A special thanks goes to Kassie and Eric for being such good caregivers with her. She loved the dogs that Kassie brought over. They got protective of grandma. All the grand kids loved joking with and teasing her. Kassie helped peel green chile with Grandma. Geno took good care of her while living with her and enjoyed cooking and watching TV with her. We will miss her sense of humor and wit. She will be truly missed. We Love You. Always….. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.premierfuneral.com
