Kaye Launi Trotter Morris

April 25, 1975 - December 10, 2015

Kaye Launi Trotter Morris On the evening of December 10th surrounded by loving family, our precious, vivacious Launi, as she was known by her family and friends, returned to her Heavenly Father after a long, difficult but valiant battle with brain cancer. Launi was born on April 25, 1975 in Provo, Utah to Darcy Trotter and Sandra Zamora Kruitmoes. She will be greatly missed and has left a huge hole in our hearts. Preceded in death by her brother, Bryan, she is survived by her loving, dedicated husband, Kevin M. Morris; her beautiful 12 year old daughter, Bryton Kaye; her best friend and confidant Shanna; her father and step¬mother, Darcy and Nancy Trotter; her mother, Sandra Zamora Kruitmoes; her step father, Ted; her brother, Casey; her extended Morris family members; childhood friends; her Home Depot compadres and many, many friends. Launi was extremely career oriented from a young age and began her career in retail. She started at Home Depot as a sign painter, where she remained for fifteen years. She worked through the ranks of Home Depot, eventually achieving notoriety as a leader in Human Resources, and ultimately attaining the esteemed title of Store Manager, one of few females to ever hold this position. Launi was a brilliant star in our universe and her light was extinguished far too soon. Her amazing work ethic and zest for life will fill our memories, as will her infectious smile and contagious laugh. She always kept us laughing with her quick wit and sense of humor. She was a mentor and friend to her many associates at Home Depot, and always had time for those who needed her advice or friendship. We will miss her stubborn tenacity and her devotion to her family. We will forever admire her strength and determination in her courageous fight. Never once during her treatment did she complain or feel sorry for herself, even though we know she had every right to do so. The family wishes to thank Launi’s “peeps” which includes all the nurses and caregivers who so lovingly assisted her during the past 4 ½ years. A celebration of Launi’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions to offset significant medical expenses can be made at http://www.gofundme.com/loveforlauni.
