Kenneth Ray Wamsley

July 21, 1947 - April 30, 2022

Kenneth Ray Wamsley, 74, of Springville, UT Born in Dayton, Ohio on July 21, 1947 passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully in his home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Mae Duvall; his father, Lawrence Lloyd Wamsley. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife (of 53 years), Sandra Ellen Wamsley (Hansen) and his children, Kenneth Lawrence Wamsley (Danijela), Amanda Lee Wamsley, Melissa Lynn Wamsley (Osean), and Tristan Ray Wamsley. He also had 13 Grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Kenneth served a 2 year LDS mission in Montana after attending BYU for one year. Kenneth married the love of his life in the Manti, Utah Temple on November 1, 1969. Soon after, he served on active duty as a commissioned officer in the 4th, Battalion, 10th Marines, Second Marine Division. His active duty unit was a 155 Howitzer Artillery Battalion at Quantico, Virginia and Camp Lejune, North Carolina. After active duty, Kenneth served in the infantry Reserve Company stationed at Fort Douglas, Salt Lake City, Utah. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Captain, U.S. Marine Corps. With a father to son history of military service back to the civil war (5 generations). After active duty in the military Kenneth became a stock broker with Merrill Lynch and didn’t feel it to be the career he wanted for the rest of his life so he got involved in real estate appraising and found it to be satisfying and productive. Kenneth obtained his MPA (Masters in Public Administration) at BYU in 1984. Kenneth enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren, hunting, fishing, shooting, camping, 4 wheeling, and most of all enjoyed 53 years loving and devoting his life to his beautiful wife. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 6th, 11:00 am at the Spring Canyon Ward, 678 So. 950 W. Springville, Utah with a viewing for family and friends prior to services from 10 – 11 am. Interment will be at East Lawn Memorial Park, Provo.
