Laren R. Robison

Loving husband, father and grandfather, Laren R Robison of Provo, Utah passed away September 17, 2010 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 25, 1931 to Roy H. Robison and Melba V. Weaver of Georgetown, Idaho. Laren was a professor of Agronomy and Horticulture at Brigham Young University where he also served as Chairman of the department, Associate Dean of the college and Director of the Ezra Taft Benson Food and Agriculture Institute. He shared his heart, humor, love and knowledge with his family, students, neighbors and the people of South America. He was very active in the LDS church where he served as a sealer in the Provo Temple, stake president of the Grandview Stake, bishop of the Lincoln, Nebraska Ward, and many other callings. He served a full-time mission in Los Angeles, California and later with his wife in San Francisco. Laren is survived by his wife, Patricia B. Robison, 6 children, 20 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and two sisters, Mable R. Whitmore and Lavon R. Hansen, of Idaho. The viewing will be held Tuesday, September 21st from 7-8:30pm and preceding the funeral in the Grandview East Stake Center, located at 1081 W 1060 N in Provo. The funeral service will be held at the same location on Wednesday, September 22nd, at 10am.
