December 25, 1942 - November 26, 2021
Launa Gae (Larson) Lindsey Launa Gae (Larson) Lindsey left this earth for a better place Friday, November 26, 2021, 11:05 am. She is no longer uncomfortable or suffering from the cancer she fought so valiantly for many years. She has returned to her Father in Heaven and Savior, after whom she patterned her life. She passed quickly and peacefully as her husband held her hand, and her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren sang favorite songs about family and eternity. Launa Gae was born December 25, 1942, to Lanol Woodrow Larson and Vivian (Payne) Larson in Los Angeles, California. She loved the Savior and felt it a privilege to share with Him the day the world celebrates His birth. She dedicated her life to serving the Savior and His children. She is loved and remembered by many as one who was kind, compassionate, and welcoming to all. On June 3, 1965, Launa Gae married Dan M Lindsey for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Together they had 8 daughters. Each daughter came with her own personality, dreams, fears, challenges, and joys. Mom loved, supported, and encouraged each of her daughters uniquely, unconditionally, and always as they needed. She had a gift for connecting and loving completely, in all circumstances. Her family has grown to include 5 sons-in-law which she welcomed, loved, and treated as her own. She was present for the birth of each of her 25 grandchildren, and we have no doubt she will be present, though unseen, for her 26th grandchild, expected in July 2022. She was blessed to meet and know her 3 great grandchildren. Launa Gae is survived by her husband, Dan Lindsey of Orem, UT; her 8 daughters, Kristen Jacot (Ezra) of Orem, UT, Karen Zea (Johnny) of Lakeshore, UT, Lisa Choma (Bob) of Etna, WY, Renée Lindsey of Orem, UT, Deanna Rowen (Mike) of Orem, UT, Sarah Lindsey of Orem, UT, Elizabeth Lindsey of Orem, UT, and Melissa Nitta (Logan) of Orem, UT; 24 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and her brother, Bryan Larson (Linda) of Hurricane, UT. She was preceded in death, and we believe joyfully greeted on the other side of the veil, by her parents, Lanol and Vivian Larson, and her granddaughter Shamilee Olson. The funeral will be held at the Orem 3rd Ward building for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 50 S 800 E on Friday, December 3, 2021, 11:00 am. There will be a viewing from 9:00 - 10:30 am prior to the service. Visitors welcome. Interment will be at the Orem Cemetery 1520 N 800 E.
