Lee J Morris born in Heber, UT on 25 Feb 1938 to Joseph H. and Nile Allison Morris, passed away peacefully on a beautiful fall morning, 28 Sept 2010 after a 21 year battle with Parkinson's disease. He graduated from Wasatch High; UT Technical College; and UT State Univ with a Masters Degree in 1966 in Industrial Education. He also attended BYU and Western Michigan Univ. He taught at Granite High from 1962-70 and was a machine shop and gunsmith instructor at UVU from 1971 to 1991 retiring early due to Parkinson's. One of his teaching highlights was when his student won a state championship and he attended the NY World's Fair with this student to represent Utah. He was well liked by all his students. He had a good sense of humor and was voted by his students as teacher of the month. Lee enjoyed the outdoors: hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and skiing when he was younger. He said he was closest to his Creator when he was outdoors. His dream of getting a moose in Alaska came true in the fall of 1981. Lee was a member of the LDS church quietly and faithfully performing his duties there. He enjoyed music, singing, playing piano and organ by ear, playing saxophone in the Wasatch High marching band. Lee married Leila Irmeli Antsola (almost 50 years ago) in the SLC temple 11 Nov 1960. Survived by wife Leila, son Bryan (Susan) Morris and daughter Carolyn (Craig) Harvey, grandson Tyler (Alicia) Harvey, Elder Kyle Harvey, and Jared Harvey. Lee is preceded in death by his parents, a sister and brother in law Aileen and Howard Norton and brother and sister in law Bob and Bonnie Morris. Funeral services will be held Fri. Oct. 1st at 11am Sharon LDS Stk. Center 545 S. 800 E. Orem. Viewing held 9:00-10:45am same location. Interment at Heber City Cemetery.
