Lisa Malan Lord, 62, passed away on August 1, 2019 from complications due to breast cancer. She was born April 14, 1957 to Don T. and Jeanene J. Malan at Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. Lisa was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints, and served in many capacities over the years. At the time of her passing, she served as an Ordinance Worker at the Seattle Temple. Lisa had several careers during her lifetime, but her favorite positions always included working with children. Before she retired, she worked as a para-professional in Sequim and Port Angeles schools, where she dedicated her time to helping children with special needs. Lisa loved ballet and the performing arts. She volunteered for many years with various local productions of The Nutcracker and taught beginning ballet at several dance studios. Lisa is survived by her husband, Frederic Lord of Sequim, WA, daughter Stefnie (Ray) Goodwin, of Phoenix, AZ, parents, Don and Jeanene Malan of Pleasant View, UT, sister Deborah (Blake) Johansen of North Ogden, UT, brother Chris (Laurie) Malan of Port Hadlock, WA, sister Michelle (Val) Simmons, Hooper, UT, and grandsons, Robert, Orion, and Thayne Hinton, all of Phoenix, AZ. The family will hold two services for Lisa. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 11:00am at the Sequim Bay Meetinghouse in Sequim, WA. with a viewing prior to the service, starting at 10am. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 11am at the Pleasant View Stake Center - 2975 N. 1000 W, Pleasant View. Friends may visit with family Saturday from 10am to 10:45am prior to services. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd, Ogden, Utah.
