Lorrene Everlee Reese Davis 1926 - 2017 LORRENE EVERLEE (REESE) DAVIS was born to C. Fred & Ila L. Reese on March 25, 1926 in Adrian, Minnesota - Nobles County. She was baptized in the Methodist Church and as a young girl went to school in Adrian, Minnesota and graduated from high school in 1943. She worked in Luverne, MN until 1947. On January 7th, 1946 she married Eldon C (Butch) Davis. They had one son, Woodson (Woody) E. Davis born December 7th, 1947 and married Barbara E. (Holm) Davis, September 2nd, 1967. Lorrene worked 11 years in commercial banking and 17 years at the Federal Reserve Bank in Salt Lake City, UT. She retired in 1989. She also worked at the Clerk of Courts in Luverne, Minnesota, the County Recorders Office in San Bernardino, California and Regan General Insurance Agency and the National Bank of South Dakota in Sioux Falls, SD. Lorrene and Butch had three grandchildren: Michael E. Davis, married to Kristin and Wendy E. Player married to Dan, and Christopher E. Davis, married to April. They also had six great grandchildren: Troy & Robby Davis, Cody & Baylee Player and Braiden & Gaige Davis. They enjoyed their Grand & Great children. They traveled after retirement and settled in Mesa, AZ. Lorrene moved back to Salt Lake City, UT in 2008 and died peacefully in her sleep. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, August 18, 2017 at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Rd., Bluffdale, UT with a viewing prior to services at 1:00 pm at the cemetery chapel. In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away, Our hearts were almost broken, You fought so hard to stay. But when we saw you sleeping, So peacefully free from pain, We could not wish you back, To Suffer that again.
