Marcia Duff Holiday January 15, 1939 – October 13, 2019 Marcia “Mamma” was born on January 15, 1939 in Los Angeles, California to Robert and Mary Eyre Duff. She was an Escrow Officer in California for over 35 years, married the love of her life George Andrew Holiday (Papa “G”), when they were only nineteen years old on August 30, 1958. The “term” soulmate was created for the love and passion they shared, a connection most only dreams of. They raised two daughters, Nancy and Christie, and their son Shawn. Marcia had a great love for Corvettes, Papa “G” surprised her with her dream car a beautiful red corvette “Grams 84”, with ghost flames that she loved to take it out on the open highway and let her go, grinning with a smile from ear to ear! She loved her family, would always make sure everyone was taken care of and would have literally done anything for anyone of us. She loved music and to dance, her favorite dance song was by Billy Ocean, “Caribbean Queen”, Marcia and George also loved to travel, always headed to a beautiful beach like Hawaii, the Caribbean, Mexico and took road trips, endless camping and boating trips. Papa “G” loved to play practical jokes on her. He was always sending singing telegrams to her office at work for her birthdays or just for the hell of it. She even made the newspaper in Redding, California for one of his singing telegrams. He even dressed up as “Cupid” on Valentine’s Day, shooting arrows of hearts around the house. She never knew what to expect next! True Love. Marcia had great passion for animals, she is survived by her partner in crime “Buttons”, who misses her terribly and by her best friend Jolene Rowsey aka “Punky, best friends for over 60 years and had so many laughs from drinking wine and talking about their children they could talk and laugh for hours. Marcia was proceeded in death by her husband George Andrew Holiday, Her father, Robert Duff, her mother, Mary Duff, and her brother Robert Duff. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Blanco (Daniel) and Christie Rice and her son Shawn Holiday (Kelly), her grandchildren, Kimberly Carpenter (George), Bryan Capilli (Megan), Hailey Capilli (Trace), Dylan MacDonald, Luke and Olivia Holiday, and her great grandson Kayson Carpenter with Odin Capilli on the way.
