Marjorie Gardner Harrison

January 8, 2018 - September 6, 2018

Marjorie Gardner Harrison, 87, of Orem passed away Sept 6, 2018. She was born Jan 8, 1931 in Roosevelt to Henry LaGrande and Zora McCormick Gardner of Neola. She married Marion Allen Harrison Sept 14, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple. Three sons were born to the couple, Michael, Rick and Clay. She lost her eternal companion to cancer on Sept 25, 1981. Her life was a life of service to her family, friends, community and our Savior. Marjorie faithfully served in numerous church callings and particularly loved serving in the Young Women’s program. After Allen’s death, she served a mission to New York with 19-year-old companions. She was a dedicated temple and Mission Training Center worker for many years. She loved to travel and always found new places to explore with friends and family. She found time to attend innumerable kids, grandkids and great grandkids cultural and sporting events. Marjorie also loved the Utah Jazz and followed the team zealously. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Rayma. Marjorie is survived by her sons Michael (Clyda), Rick (Liz) and Clay, her brother Howard (JaNiel), seven grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sept 10th at 10:30 a.m. (viewing at 9:00) in the Suncrest 10th Ward, 90 N 600 W in Orem. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in the Roosevelt City Cemetery. The family wishes to thank her friends, Osmond Senior Living, Alison at Symbii and members of the Suncrest 10th Ward for their many kindnesses.
