Mary Jane Slater

Mary Jane Holck Slater, of Clearfield, Utah, passed away at the age of 79 after a protracted struggle with congestive heart failure. She was born in Britt, Iowa and lived many years in Arizona before moving to Utah. Mary Jane is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Alvina, brother Leon, sisters Janice and Joanne, son Anthony, and twin daughters. She is survived by her brothers Darrell, and James, son Stanley, daughter-in-law Kara, grandchildren Nathan, Brooklynn, and Johnathan as well as great-grandchildren Logan, Anthony, and Matthew. While Mary Jane said her most important role in life was that of mother, she was always proud of her work. She spent 34 years working at AAFES, the Army Air Force Exchange Service. While there, she truly liked the vast majority of her co-workers and the many vendors she had the opportunity to interact with over the years.
