Melvin Dewain Lloyd, 71, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 at the Willow Wood Care Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Melvin was born July 9, 1940 in Newdale, Idaho to George Lavern Lloyd and Marjorie Briggs Lloyd. We grew up in Newdale. He attended school at Newdale Elementary and Sugar Salem High School. Melvin enjoyed fishing on the Teton River and camping. He also was a talented artist. He could draw anything. Melvin even did a few paintings, one of which his sister, Sheila, has in her home. As the old saying goes “he was the Jack of all trades and a master of none”. There wasn’t much he could not do if it needed to be done. He married Maymia Clemens, June 1, 1960, at Rexburg, Idaho. They had one daughter, Kandi Lyn. They later divorced. Melvin then married Janice Rowberry, November 1963, at Boise, Idaho. They had twin sons Kevin and Kerry, They later divorced. In June of 1989 he married LueGene Casey. He is survived by his wife LueGene of Salt Lake City, children Kandi Lyn and Kevin, a step-son David (Jo) Casey, siblings, Sheila (Jerry) May, Tamara (Casey) Campbell, Karla (Stephen) Standage and Marcie Pead. 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Lloyd; father, George Lavern Lloyd; 2 brothers, Edwin and Clyde; a son, Kerry and both sets of Grandparents.
