Merle Jessie Fullmer
January 1, 1936 - March 1, 2015
Jessie Merle Fullmer returned home on March 1, 2015 at the age of 79, surrounded by her posterity. Born Jan. 1, 1936 in Park City Utah to Gladys and Reuel Clayson. She lived most of her early life in the Spanish Fork and Payson Utah area, where she graduated from Payson High School and later attended BYU. On June 9, 1958 she married the love of her life, Robert L. Fullmer, her eternal companion, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they served two LDS missions and worked for many years as temple ordinance workers. People who knew Merle knew of her love and kindness. The light of Christ shined in her countenance. She made life a pleasurable and purposeful experience. Mom established many traditions that will carry on for generations. She loved sports, especially when BYU or her children and grandchildren played. She loved spending time with her family and always looked forward to Clayson camp and playing cards, which she usually won. Survived by Michael (Mary) Fullmer, Danna (Jay) McBride, Lori (Gary) Thomas, Jeff (Brooklyn) Fullmer, Leslie (Shaun) Jager, Brian (Missy) Fullmer, 30 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, sister Helen Meldrum and brother Clark (Ruth) Clayson. A joyous reunion is taking place with her grandson, Eric, her parents, Lois and Dean Dudley, and her sister-in-law Sharon Barnes and many other loved ones that have gone before. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 6, 2015 at the East Midvale 4th Ward, 87 East 7100 South, Midvale, UT with a viewing at the church Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and prior to services Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 am.
