Mike Walling passed away after a long battle with heart and lung disease on August 14, 2020. He was born on August 18,1945 to Nellie and J. Paul Walling in Orville, California. He married Connie Woolsey November 23, 1968 in Ogden, Utah. He was raised in St Anthony Idaho, where he graduated from South Freemont High School in 1964. He attended Weber State and graduated from the Radiographic X-Ray program in 1973. He worked mostly in SLC area hospitals. Mike loved life and wanted a farewell tour with his friends visiting in his final days. A big thanks to everyone who came by the house to say goodbye. He loved to travel internationally and in the states. Africa being his favorite place . Mike's favorite winter activity was skiing. He was a member of the National Ski Patrol and work for over 25 years at Powder Mountain as a ski patroller. The friendships and stories formed on that mountain are priceless. Mike was an avid fly fisherman. He enjoyed tying flies and traveling to fly fishing events around the west. Mike was a grateful member of Alcoholics Anonymous where he cultivated life long friendships. He was also a Master Mason and a member of Unity Lodge 18 in Ogden Utah. He was a member of the South Weber Literary Club and a Buddhist study group.. Mike is survived by his wife Connie of 51 years and his two daughters Jessica (Jeff Bernard) and Amanda Fausett and her three sons Boston, Brody, and Spencer. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Ogden Botanical Gardens, 1750 Monroe BLVD Ogden,Utah August 25th from 6-8 PM. Due to COVID 19 , Please wear a mask and practice social distancing..
