IN LOVING MEMORY MINNIE LEE WALLACE July 10, 1925 - May 20, 2021 Minnie Lee Wallace, 95, passed away from natural causes on May 20, 2021 at her home in Ogden, Utah. Minnie Lee was born July 10, 1925, to Doc and Louisiana Wallace, in Delta City, Mississippi. During her lifetime, Minnie Lee worked as a farmer and was blessed with two children, James (Sonny) Wallace, Sr. and Jessie Mae Fuller Lyons. At the early age of twenty-eight she married Herman Clark in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Later, she met the love of her life, Roosevelt Cross, and moved to Ogden, Utah in 1960. They were both members of Second Baptist Church. Minnie Lee enjoyed spending time watching TV, especially wrestling, and visiting with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed collecting dolls of every shape and size as a hobby. She was preceded in death by: parents, Doc and Louisiana Wallace; partner, Roosevelt Cross; sisters: Mary Cooper and Lucille Wallace; brothers: AD Wallace and Eugene Wallace; stepson, Larry Cross; and loving daughter, Jessie Mae Fuller Lyons. She leaves to cherish her memory: son and daughter-in-law, James and Sherrell Wallace; nephew, Jesse Lee Wallace; stepsons: Archie Lee Cross and James Cross; grandchildren: James Wallace, Jr., Anthony Lyons, Nicole Wallace, Debbie and James Hardaway, and Shauna Walker; great grandchildren: Ariana Lyons, Alaysia Lyons, Amani Lyons, Ryder Lyons, Jaidyn Parks, Brandy Hardaway, and Brandon Hardaway. A private burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Evergreen Memorial Park. To our dear Minnie Lee, the best mother, stepmother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt. You will always be loved and missed greatly. May you rest in peace, Mother. - Your loving family A special thank you to: Kenneth Chugg, a lifetime friend and “brother” to our family.
