Morris Quincy Kunz Jr, better known as Quin, passed away peacefully in his home full of love and honor, May 31, 2021. He was born on November 24, 1943. Quin was the eldest son of Ellen May Halliday, he inherited her sense of humor and wit. He was a dedicated, hard worker like his father, Morris Q Kunz Sr. He was named after his father because he was not expected to live due to the bubble of fluids on the back of his head at birth. Quin, being the first boy of Ellen after 6 girls, was very well taken care of. Quin married Betsy Barlow (Chantaal Steadmann) in 1963, she bore him 11 children. Those living are, Morris, Marni, Carol (Russ), Penny, Jolee (Rodney), Dawn (Lynn), Ellen (Larry), Brock (Maria), Ruthann (Stonne). They divorced in 1985. Quin also married Doris Barlow in 1968, she bore him 14 children. Those living are, Dardi, Boaz, Ralph (Shelli), Jonah (Nicole, Buffy), Reese, Tiera, Marleen (Isaiah), Candice (Aaron), Bonnie (Jason), Alexis, Shaleece, Tyrel (Katherine), Dakota (Saraphine). Quin was, and will continue to be, loved by 114 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren. Quin has joined his daughters Cindy, Cresta, and Jessica and many other family members who will welcome him home. Quin was introduced to wood working when he was 17. He started working for Fashion Cabinets in 1973. This allowed him to find the passion he had for working with wood. His first big project was a cedar chest made for each of his wives. Since then, he has built many items that are heirlooms such as tree ornaments for the grandchildren, hand mirrors, jewelry boxes, gun chests, children's rocking chairs and much more. He also built many items for family and friends that appreciated his work, each piece will be cherished. Quin loved his family, they were everything to him. He took pride in his family reunions; cooking breakfast on the back patio, he loved camping, taking his dutch oven to cook for all his kids and anyone he could offer it too. He loved talking to everyone, not caring what he said or who he said it to. His quick wit and humor would make instant friends with complete strangers. He was a man of his word and would give the shirt off his back. The assistance he gave others in their difficult times, including financial, emotional and physical. He enjoyed doing this, it was a reflection of his generosity and compassion. The amount of reciprocating love that is pouring back into our family because of him is outstanding and immeasurable. Quin loved his religion, he did his best to live worthy to meet the Lord. He celebrated throughout his life, any and all occasions. Let's take this time to celebrate him and honor him in his new journey, with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Viewing Monday, June 7th, 6-8:00 pm, 1880 W Parkway Blvd West Valley UT 84119.
