Nancy Ann Hill
September 22, 1959 - July 24, 2020
Nancy Ann Hill 1959 - 2020 After a three-month battle with Melanoma, Nancy Ann Hill passed peacefully at home, on July 24th, 2020, “Pioneer Day.” A day set aside in Utah to remember and honor those who have paved the way before us. Nancy will always be remembered by those who knew her best as a Pioneer. Born to Arthur Frederick Herbon Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Herbon, in Inglewood California September 22, 1959, Nancy spent her youth and most of her adult life in Southern California. At the age of 15 she joined “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints” and committed herself to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She served in many capacities in the church and especially cherished her time spent teaching the youth. Nancy was faithful until the end always leading by example. She graduated Marina High School in 1977, and shortly after attended Brigham Young University, an adventure she’d put on hold to raise a family. In 2001, as a single mother working full time, she graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She retired from Coast Community College District after 25 years of working in HR and moved to Utah in 2017. Nancy loved sharing the joys of life with everyone. She loved to travel and to play. She loved scuba-diving and underwater photography. She loved camping with family and friends. She especially loved visiting her grandchildren. She took time to understand people, which is why she always gave the best gifts. Somehow, she always knew what people needed. She is survived by her husband John Hill; her sons, Timothy Hatley, Travis Hatley, Joshua Hill, John Hill, and Jacob Hill; seven grandchildren; and her brothers Arthur Herbon, Keith Herbon and Scott Herbon. The family would like to express their appreciation to the countless people who have sacrificed time and talents to ensure love and comfort during this difficult journey. Services will be held on her behalf at 11:00 am, Monday August 3rd, 2020 at the LDS chapel located at 1911 East 1850 South, Spanish Fork, UT 84660. Public viewing is from 10:00 to 10:35am. Graveside services will be held at the Spanish Fork Cemetery at 12:15pm.
