Nina Park Myers

February 8, 1930 - February 21, 2013

Nina Elizabeth Myers quietly passed away surrounded by her family February 21, 2013. She was born February 8, 1930 to Ransom and Nina Park in Yakima, Washington. She grew up in Monmouth Oregon, and lived in California before moving to Utah in 2003. Nina was a strong spirit; she had 6 children whom she cared for deeply. She was talented and known by many for her beautiful wedding cakes. She went back to school in her early 50’s to become a Home Health Nurse, and loved the families she worked with. Nina had many friends whom she loved serving. Her example showed us how to serve with a valiant heart. Her journey has been long, her legacy will remain in our hearts, and her memory will bring a smile. She has been called home to rest, and we thank her for her influence in our lives. She was preceded in death by her Granddaughter Rusti Ann Ross, and her two Brothers Bob Park and Bill Park. She is survived by her sister Doreen (Bruce) Kilen, and her 6 children, Lynn Payette, Michael Payette, Sheryl (Greg) Ross, Norma Garrett, Teresa (Gary) Warwood, and Nancy (Justin) Adams. She was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved their “Grandma Nini”. Many thanks to the wonderful nurses at Manor Care South Ogden, and the Inspiration Hospice Specialists who lovingly cared for Nina. Funeral Services will be at the Syracuse 2nd Ward Bldg., 2228 South 1660 West, Syracuse, UT on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 11:00am. The viewing will be prior to the services from 10:00– 10:45 am. Interment held at the Syracuse City Cemetery, Syracuse UT.
