Palepo Tuaifaiva Tautaiolefue

April 28, 1969 - September 23, 2021

Palepo Tuaifaiva Tautaiolefue was born on April 28th, 1969 in Fagaalu, Pago Pago, American Samoa and was raised by a strong single mother Tuitua Tuaifaiva. She grew up in the village of Fasito'outa, Apia, Western Samoa where she resided for most of her life, and was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served a full-time LDS mission in Upolu, Western Samoa and continued her service after returning home by working for the LDS church in assisting members with family history. She loved the Lord. As an adult, Palepo made her way to America where she was reunited with a former classmate Faatea Tautaiolefue, who became the love of her life. They were together for a few years before being married on April 27th, 2018. Although she did not have children of her own, she was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunty, step-mother, and grandmother to children who loved her dearly. She was the most loving and caring women, especially to all her family and friends. She was strong and courageous even until the end when she passed away on September 23, 2021 after battling cancer. She is survived by her husband, Faatea Tautaiolefue and her three daughters; Hana Vakauta (Ivan), Allison Tautaiolefue and Sarah Tautaiolefue. Her three sons; Kyle Tautaiolefue (Carli) Spencer Tautaiolefue and Jonathan Tautaiolefue. She is "Nana" to two grandchildren; Elianna Tautaiolefue and Auckland Vakauta. Her mother; Tuitua Tuaifaiva, and brothers; Faleono Tuaifaiva, Taotofi Tuaifaiva, Kauili Lameko Tuaifaiva, Tikeli Tuaifaiva, Sameme Tuaifaiva and Pusi Tuaifaiva. She is predeceased by her brother, Tapunuu Tuaifaiva and sister, Luisa Tuaifaiva. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 7th 2021 at the Granger South Stake Center (4251 South 4800 West, West Valley City, UT 84120). The family service will be from 10:00-11:30 AM, followed by the bishop service at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at the Memorial Redwood Cemetery (6500 South Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, UT 84123).
